Though a bit expensive, we took the ride to the top of the Olympic towers. The views from there are astounding. Quite a few of other places in the park require ticket purchase.
Overall, quite an impressive place to spend time at. It is easy to be overwhelmed with the size of the park. First, it is free to enter the park.
For me, these two made me happy already We were there at night and the lights were very colorful, you will find lots of stands with ice cream and sweets as well.

The participation of Taiwan was briefly in doubt because of disagreements over the name of their team in the Chinese language and concerns about Taiwan marching in the Opening Ceremony next to the special administrative region of Hong Kong.
